Sci-Fi, LGBTQ+, Narrative, Tragically Abandoned
TW: Alcohol use, mild sexual content
Forever sad this one won't be continued, frankly. It's more of an opening snippet than a true webcomic, but it has so much possibility...
Check, please!
Sports, LGBTQ+, Narrative, Completed
TW: homophobia, positively-portrayed hazing, drug/alcohol use, mild sexual content
Eric Bittle, vlogger, champion Georgia figure skater, and pie baker extraordinaire, is starting his first year as a hockey player at Samwell University. It's a bit of a culture shock-- how will he fit in?
Read it on its site here! (Or on Tumblr here, if you want ~all the extras~, which I highly recommend. Scroll up from the bottom, and then go back down and hit "newer" once you read to the top. And, y'know, click read-mores.)

TW: Nonsexual nudity, violence/blood, death, sexual themes, drug references
Fenic, a trans girl with a mysterious heritage, bizarre powers, and a deep love for her found family (and pretty much everyone else she meets), is thrust into a political and historical intrigue that stretches across worlds.
Also, everyone is gay and trans and this webcomic has had a variety of super-cute artstyles. Check out the comments as you're reading! The comic's fanbase is really lovely and supportive (and observant.)

TW: none
Okay, this isn't actually a webcomic. Sorry.
This speculative fiction narrative is about what football will look like in the future... except actually, it's more about the nature of humanity and friendship.
The Last Hallo-ween
Horror; Fantasy; LGBTQ+; Adventure; Narrative; Ongoing
TW: violence, gore, death, body horror
It’s just a normal Halloween for Mona (aged 10)... until the Phagocyte dies and suddenly there are murderous monsters everywhere. Could this be… the Last Halloween? The story follows a variety of characters (human and otherwise) on their journeys thorugh a suddenly-changed world. It's drawn in a beautifully graphic, stark, black-and-white style.

Super cute artstyle!
magical boy
LGBTQ+, Coming of Age and Coming Out, Fantasy, Adventure, Narrative, Completed
TW: (a lot of) transphobia, homophobia, cartoon violence
Trans boy Max finds out that his family has a secret: he's the descendant of a long line of Magical Girls, tasked with keeping the world safe.
The artstyle of this comic is really beautiful, and very anime-influenced. However, it's also really focused on transphobia and the "coming out story," which is a genre I'm personally a little tired of.
It's about $10 to read unless you've already got Ink on Tapas.

LGBTQ+, Horror, Zombie Apocalypse, Humor, Coming-of-Age, Narrative, Completed
TW: violence, gore, death
A high school girls’ volleyball team struggles to survive the zombie apocalypse-- and maintain their relationships with each other. It’s a lot funnier and more heartfelt than it sounds. Stark, monochromatic art style.
eth's skin
LGBTQ+, Fantasy, Adventure, Narrative, On Indefinite Hiatus
TW: theft, violation
A fisherperson accidentally steals a Selkie’s skin, and must embark on a long journey to try and return it. Bored of European fantasy tropes? This one’s full of legends and creatures from the lore of British Columbia. Soft, black-and-white artstyle.
ruby quest
Horror; Forum-Driven; Puzzles; Mystery; Choose-Your-Own-Adventure RPG-style; Completed
TW: gore, murder, dismemberment, body horror, mental illness; eldritch horror
Ruby, a white rabbit, wakes up to find herself locked in a box. It escalates from there. MS Paint artstyle, originally hosted on 4chan board /tg/ and driven by reader suggestions. The characters are all based on charaters from Animal Crossing, which I think is interesting.

Multimedia; Fantasy; Adventure; Vintage-Game-Inspired; Forum-Driven; LGBTQ+; Completed
TW: violence, gore, death, homophobia, drug/alcohol addiction; mild sexual content; eldritch horror
Homestuck is incredibly controversial, largely due to its explosive fandom popularity around the same time as Hetalia/SuperWhoLock. Despite that, I'm going to try to play this recommendation straight...
Homestuck is a massively sprawling narrative (notoriously longer than the Bible) encompassing epistolary, comic, animated, video, and playable game content-- among others. It follows a variety of teenagers playing a video game with disastrous, galactic consequences. Genuinely, it's really impressive and compelling, though at times it ranges into the confusing, obscure, slow (especially at the start), or offensive. If you're interested in the meaning of life, Tumblr culture circa 2012 (seriously, you will start to see Homestuck references EVERYWHERE once you know what to look for), gnosticism, or classic video game aesthetics... y'know, give it a chance. It gets more interesting after a while, I promise.
